Guides / correction workflow

Manual aiming workflow for field corrections.

Use the calculator as a starting estimate, then correct like a notebook entry: observe the miss, recheck inputs, adjust one variable, and verify in-game.

01

Field step 01

Measure before you calculate

Start with the range shown by your in-game report or map tool. If the distance changes, recalculate instead of reusing a stale result.

02

Field step 02

Match charge to range

Select charge 1–6 and check whether the distance is within the public-source max range for that charge. If the calculator marks the selected charge as insufficient, treat the result as a warning, not a solution.

03

Field step 03

Enter elevation carefully

Use the estimated degrees as a starting point only. Confirm the loaded shell and the in-game ballistic calculator before firing.

04

Field step 04

Observe the miss

After firing, note whether the impact is short/long or left/right. Range misses usually point back to distance, charge, or elevation. Lateral misses usually point back to target plotting or bearing.

05

Field step 05

Adjust one thing at a time

Change one variable, then recheck. Do not invent wind, barrel wear, projectile speed, or shell-weight corrections unless a future verified-data gate approves them.

Do not over-read the model

Wind, barrel wear, shell weight, projectile speed, moving target lead, terrain elevation, and patch-specific physics are not verified in this MVP.
